Lots of smiles and tears this morning saying goodbye to our friend and colleague Dave Kelly. It has been a gift and a privilege working with Dave for the last 8 years. Dave is a class act, a great leader and a generous spirit. He signed off 12 years on BT saying, “I always say the great things about mornings is everything is potential…. and that’s where I get chocked up… everything is potential here – you can go anywhere you can be anyone. And that’s what’s so great about being with you the viewers… we got to have that potential of the day where anything could happen. And I’m so grateful for that opportunity.”
We are sad to see Dave go but wish him the best in his new ventures with Kelly Brothers (the production company he owns with his brother). No doubt Dave will be great at whatever he does. After the show we had a little celebration with his family and friends. Good luck Dave and we love you!

December 31st, 2009 at 7:24 pmI was away for 6 months and couldn’t help but notice that Dave Kelly was no longer on BT. I always enjoyed Dave, he had a way of “humanizing” the program. I join, litterally, thousands of Calgarians in wishing Dave the best the World can offer in his new endeavour!
