Roberto and Rainbows

AliRing

A satisfying conclusion to this season’s Bachelorette – SO happy Ali picked Roberto!  Wasn’t it obvious those two sparkled from the beginning?

Speaking of sparkle – check out the ring.  People Magazine posted this pic of the 3.03 karat diamond with a price tag of $50,000.  Rock it Ali!

Meanwhile we all love Chris and he was sent home with visions of rainbows and smiles in our hearts.  The boy had the most graceful exit in Bachelor history – here’s hoping we see more of him next season!  Heard a rumor it might be Jesse Beck though…the boy has a big part in the upcoming Bachelor Pad premiering on August 9th.

Here’s a full recap of the finale including footage from the big Bachelorette party at Milestones!  The action continues with Bachelor Pad next week so check out my reviews the morning after on BT every Tuesday.  And PS – I don’t *actually* blog in my bath robe despite what you might see on tv ;)

Chris would be my choice for the next Bachelor if of course he wanted to.

I’m sure Ali did what was right for her. A lot of people seemed to want her to pick Chris, but they weren’t that good of a couple. Chris can find someone better for him, I think. Hopefully, Roberto can ground Ali, because she really seems to need that.

The best match for her was still Frank, I think, but we all know what happened there. Personally, I think Frank was a coward. He saw this awesome girl that he could have had a really good relationship with, but then he let his brain get in the way, and he ran from the opportunity. Obviously, though, he wasn’t ready. Even scarier, though, was the girlfriend he had waiting back in Chicago, who just reinforced all of his neurotic tendencies. I don’t want to judge, but if I were a psychiatrist, I would advise him to stay away from people like that, who just wind him up and keep him locked in his head all the time.

As for the Bachelor Pad, I will NOT be watching that. My voyeuristic tendencies only go so far. I miss seeing Tenley, because she was so cute, but I’m not going to tune in just for her, so… I guess I’ll just wait for the next Bachelor/ette. Cheers!

P.S. Did you notice how Ali’s sister, Raya, reacted to Chris? She really seemed to like him, and I think she could really appreciate Chris and give him what he needs.

Maybe it just points out the absurdity of this whole process, that the Bachelorette’s sister is a better fit for the contestants than the actual Bachelorette, but I definitely sensed some chemistry there. I bet Raya could rock Chris’s world, and vice-versa!!

Also… I had to laugh that when Roberto tried to say, “I genuinely care about your daughter,” it came out as I “generally care about your daughter.” It’s like he just couldn’t get the word out.

Anyway, I just had to share those final thoughts on this crazy process. The whole Bachelor/ette franchise is just a treasure trove of absurdity!!
