Gadget Giveaway! Back to School

It’s Back to School time! Kids will return to the classroom for another year with backpacks full of high tech goodies. But why should the kids have all the fun. I’m giving away two gadgets that will help give you parents some peace of mind as your  little ones head back to school.

iSafe BackpackiSafe Bag

Are your little ones walking to school? Concerned about the strangers they may encounter along the way? This looks like a normal backpack, but it has a secret. In the shoulder strap is a pull cord which activates a personal alarm. If your child feels threatened they can pull the alarm and scare off whoever is bothering them. It can also be used in cases of bullying, drawing attention to your child if they are being picked on. The bag also has flashing lights which will draw attention if it is dark outside.

iRecovery Stick iphone

Concerned about who your child is texting? Are they texting during class? Are they browsing websites when they should be studying? Now you can find out. The iRecovery Stick allows you to download your child’s contact, text messages, web browsing history, and see all their emails. Yes, this is controversial. You should chat with your teens before using something like this.

Want to win one of these? Leave a comment below and let me know which one! A winner will be picked at 12:00 MT on August 25th. The winners will be posted here on my blog. You must check back here to see if you won. Good luck everyone!

WINNERS!

The backpack definately peeks my intrest! What a great idea. My child would not only use this walking to school, but walking to get the mail, walking to a friends or the park. Where would someone purchase a backpack like this ?

  10. James Narfason Says:

Hi mike I am just curious where to buy the GPS gadgets?? i caught how much they were but not where to buy them? We are concerned about having my son having to walk to school this year, as he is no longer able to take the bus and this would give us some peace of mind. Thanks!

  11. Amanda Says:

My daughter is 10, she has a cell phone and an Ipod and uses the computer. She knows that I “spy” on her! I believe we have a parental responsibility to teach our kids how to stay safe online, and to monitor thier online activities. In terms of the back pack, that is a really cool idea! We can teach our kids safety and how to react in situations, but ultimatly it’s everyone else who we need to worry about. This would not only give a parent piece of mind, but I also think it would give the child piece of mind as well! Great gadgets! Thanks for showing them this morning!

  12. Chelsea Says:

I think this is a great idea to ensure that our girls are using their online presence in a safe and responsible manner! They may not enjoy it though ;)
