Gadget Giveaway: Microsoft Prize Pack

It’s back to school time! It’s your chance to win a Microsoft Prize Pack! A laptop case full of goodies! A $400 value! place your comment here and tell us why you should win the pack!

We have a Winner! Congratulations Lindsay Hunt!

Here is Lindsay’s Comment!

Why should I win the prize pack? Well, I am leaving for school soon, to start a grad program in Education. I, unfortunately, am leaving my settled space here in Calgary…my home, my friends and my husband. A big leap for sure. Of course, finances are tight, as they are for many, and any additional school supplies/accessories would help immensely. And with a web cam I can chat with my friends and family in Calgary! Plus…who doesn’t want to win something, isn’t that almost reason enough?

Thanks for considering me! Happy impending September…

Good luck with school Lindsay! Hopefully this Microsoft prize pack will help out!

I have been a really good boy this summer. My 2 kids are heading back to schooll this morning and we could use the surprise. So why not let us win!!

  2. Carrie Lyle Says:

Why should I win this prize pack, you ask? Well – for the love of Pete – why not? Don’t I deserve a laptop case full of goodies just as much as the next person? To sum it up in two simple words…. too right!

  3. Melanie Says:

I have a 14 year old son who is going into grade 9 this year, and only have 1 computer in the house, that I use for work. So it is a struggle for us to share it with homework and my work.
It would make life easier, and no excuses for him not to get his home work done! :)
    Thanks, Melanie

  4. Caitlyn Pitman Says:

    Hi Mike,
I would love to win this prize pack (who wouldn’t?)
Although if I did win I’m sure that my 15 year old daughter who is off to register at high school today, would actually be the winner. I’d be lucky to see any of it. But it would be fun to see her reaction to the prize and it would probably take some of the back to school shopping pressure off me.

    Thanks.

  5. Mike Pickett Says:

Back to school time….I know what that’s about. It’s been nearly 17 years since I’ve had to go to school. Now I’m going back. Going back to school after that long is going to be a weird experience. I’ll be needing something to soften the blow of student loans and having to sit and listen to a instructor again. A great Microsoft prize pack would be an amazing way to lower my stress level.

  6. Joanne Saltvold Says:

My son and daughter are gearing up to go back to school and have been “hounding” their Dad and I all summer long for upgrades, updates and extras for our computer. I still think of our PC as new, but have been informed that a 5 year old computer is a dinosaur!

  10. Mrs. C Says:

    Hi Mike,

Love to hear about the new “Palm” we definitely require a new wave phone, but moreover it would be great to have a some of your gadget swag just before the kids hit the road for school. Always “trying” to impress our “geek” sons with new tech product. (can’t always afford the price!)

    Thanks

  11. Crystal Bennett Says:

That prize pack would be very helpful. I am currently going through University by correspondence for my accounting degree, and at the same time, I am working a full time job in order to pay bills. Getting supplies for school is tough, and I know that the Microsoft Prize Pack would make things a little easier.

  12. Geri Wong Says:

    Hi Mike-
I’d love to win your Microsoft Prize Pack. I’m very ignorant in regards to “computers” and getting anything omputer-related would help me out a great deal. Help!!!!!
    Thanks.

  13. Melanie Says:

I have a 14 year old son going back to school tommorow and as I work from home and we only have one computer, and I use it for work, it would be great for him to have something so there are no more excuses for him not to do his homework :)

  19. Doug Says:

I need to win because I have both a Mac and a PC (I KNOW!) and need the MS Office products, and despite owning a Mac, I’m still a HUGE MS fan (one of the few, it sometimes seems).

Hook me up, gadget guy. Please.

  20. tyler r. Says:

    i realllllllllllyyyyyyyy need this.

  21. Deb Green Says:

My daughter bought herself a laptop for her 14th birthday. She used the $400.00 she was saving from when the Klein government sent out the ‘free money’ to all Albertans. Combined with her birthday money, she squeaked by with enough money to purchase a laptop on sale. Then, along came Mom & Dad to put software onto her “I can’t believe it has nothing on it” laptop. I would be thrilled to win the Microsoft Prize Pack as I would look at this as adding validity to that old saying; ‘What goes around, comes around’. We love our daughter to death and did not deter her from using her savings for something she has wanted for years. Now, if I could just harness the energy and time she is using her laptop for Facebook, Twitter, games and movies and turn that into schoolwork, we’ll have a next to perfect year for Grade 9……….I’m ready for the prize pack……….

  22. Pat Green Says:

I am eagerly looking for pieces to put together for a computer package for my kids this fall. They would use these items to supplement the computer they are saving up for!

  23. ryan jones Says:

at the beginning of summer we brought home a new cat. during the process of introducing him to the two other cats we have the little charmer knocked over a bottle of pellegrino. It just so happens my keyboard was in the way and got soaked. then to boot he flew off the table and took my keyboard with him. needless to say the keyboard needs to be replaced.

  24. Cassie Paul Says:

Entering my 4th year & my stuff is OLD and wearing out, everytime I use it!….I have another 4 to go so would be nice to update so of my equipment! Thx!
    Cass

  25. Chelsea Sharpe Says:

Hi, my name is Chelsea, I am 25yrs old and, I start university in two weeks. After 8years of working in a different field, I have decided to go back to school to get my RN degree. I would love to win that prize pack!! My laptop is on its last legs… my phone is 3years old and often gets a white screen, and I have had the same alarm clock for 6yrs! Please help me out Mike! I am an avid watcher of BT, and have it on every morning while I get ready for work.
    Thanks for considering me!
    Chelsea

  26. Kyle Mason Says:

    Morning,

I would love to win the Microsoft Prize Pack as I am about to start my first year of engineering @ U of C.

    Cheers!!!

  27. cindy Says:

I really need this prize because I have 3 children going back to school tomorrow and they could use this stuff for homework etc….our computer could use some updated material!! please pick us, thank you!

  28. Mary Frost Says:

I am so far behind in the technology world that this case of goodies would be most helpful for me. Also my grand-daughter is entering grade one and I will be able to keep up with her in the computer world!

I love your updates on electronics……… Mary.

  29. Madison Hall Says:

I would love to win this package. I have great grades but can’t write so that teachers can read my work. They suggested a laptop but my mom can’t afford it and all the laptops at school are already handed out. This would be a great help for me and my mom.

  30. Renee Says:

    Hi,
My kids and I would love to win the laptop case full of goodies. We are always complaining about how slow our ancient computer is. It is pretty old and not very up-to-date. It would be wonderful to win some new software etc. to use.

  31. Kim Says:

I need this back-to-school gift pack because I am WAY too old to be going back to school!!! I need all these gadgets to keep up with the kids!
    Thanks.

  32. Jody Says:

I need that gift pack because I have a laptop, but not the software I need for school…. so I have to do things the pen and paper way. My handwriting is so bad (and spelling) that I often cant read my own notes and struggle in my classes because of it.
Of course, each school year begins with a resolution to do better, study harder (write neater) but inevatibly fails after just a few weeks (days). With this gift pack, I might actually be able to keep my resolution and get the GPA I know I am capable of.
Also, my lack of software has me working in the campus labs instead of the comfort of my home or Starbucks (do you know how tragic it is to need a coffee but know that if you leave your computer for 15mins then it wont be available when you get back?).

  33. Kim Godeseth Says:

I should win this pack because I am currently working my way through the first of two degrees in order to be a teacher. I am doing this in Calgary, and a lot of my family lives in England and Saskatchewan. I am constantly crashing my computer trying to use Skype to keep in touch with them all and do my homework. It is to the point now, where I have convinced my prof’s into accepting assignments printed out in pink ink (my computer now refuses to print in black) and my family that I am not actually a weird shade of greenish purple (as my webcam makes me look). I would love to have a working computer and the goods necessary to finish my degree!

  34. micheal Says:

i would love to win this prize pack, my laptop was stolen last year and next month i am planning on replacing it, and the prize pack would be lovely. plus i would not have to use my sister in laws computer!! haha too funny And if you could suggest a laptop that could be used for downlaods and internet surfing would be great!

    thank you for your time
    Micheal

  35. Spencer Sumner Says:

    Hey Mike,

I could really use the prize pack. For starters, the Office 2008 for Mac would make it so much easier for me to transport my documents from home to school. I would use the life cam to actually see family on the other end, instead of just hearing their voices. And the laptop bag would ensure my laptop made it to school in one piece!

    Thanks for your consideration

    Spencer Sumner

  36. Geri Wong Says:

I’d love to win your Microsoft Prize pack. I’m very ignorant in regards to anything related to computers, so anything-even a laptop case would be helpful. (The cordless printer is a great idea-Will it work anywhere and with any kind of computer?)
    Thanks,
    Geri Wong (403 2400785)

  37. Kendall M. Says:

    Dear Mike,
i am entering my first year of junior high and my mom is very sad. i thought winning the gadgets shown on this mornings BT would give her something to play with until i come home!

    Thanks

    Kendall M.

  38. ben Says:

i would like to win this packadge because my computer right now sucks and my dad said i cant get a new one without getting the new windows office for school work plus the wirelesskeyboard would be reallynice and so would the lightcam so i can IM and CHAT with my friends online

  39. Shawn Freeman Says:

I think I should win the prize pack because I am a die hard windows fan as well as a starving student whose laptop is in need of protection from the ton of textbooks I’ll be carting around in 2 weeks.
    BT is awesome!

  40. Devan LaFontaine Says:

I would love to win this prize package because I am going into grade 12 at Western Canada HIgh School and I am in the French IB program with a very heavy work load this year. Something like this would really help to make my year a lot easier. Thanks

  41. Bailee Billington Says:

    Hey!
I would really love to win this prize package because this year will be my first year in college. Im starting a four year program at Mount Royal in Criminal Justice. From what I’ve heard, not only is a laptop a MUST, but so is all the help you can get! I think all these accessories would help me with all the extensive research I need to do, as well as make the long hours spent on my laptop much more compfortable… Not to mention help me keep in tough with my profs, and maybe even some friends that have moved away to other school!
Starting college has been a whir wind ( and I technically haven’t started yet…) and I could use all the help I can get!

    Thank you so much!
    -Bailee

  42. Kyle Matson Says:

I really really need to win the back-to school giveaway because my mom won’t take me back-to school shopping and doesn’t think I need cool computer stuff to keep up with my friends in my class. Please help rescue me from my mom’s old-fashionedness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  43. Charmaine Sanderson Says:

Mike, I love your segment, makes live so much easier when I need to buy things for my home office. You give such great suggestions. Thank you.

My daughter is starting High school this year and could really use the items. She spends a lot of time on the computer doing home work and enjoys making her projects and papers look great. Office 2007 would sure help with this.

Did I mention how great you are??? Thanks

  44. Kelly Says:

I should win the prize pack becuase my two teenagers know so much more tech stuff than I do and maybe this would inspire me to learn along with them.

  45. Leanne Tucker Says:

This is the first year that my son is enrolled in Preschool. Wanting to be involved, I volunteered to be on the board there. I guess I didn’t realize that my computer capabilities were not quite up to what I needed. I don’t even have office on mine. I get daily emails with attachments that I can’t open on my computer. So every time that I have to do something for the board I have to pack up my kids and go over to my Mom’s to use her computer. “Nana” doesn’t seem to mind but it has proved to be very time consuming. That’s Why I think that I should win the prize pack!!

  46. Brent Hayes Says:

    Hello,

I desperately needs this prize pack for the fall semester. I’m a third year student at the Haskayne School of Business in the University of Calgary. And I am Broke! Between my truck breaking down, my laptop dieing, my parking pass, and of course my tuition I am running extremely low on cash and could use this pack. Specifically the Microsoft Office program, I’m running office 2000 on my home computer and it just doesn’t cut it today’s competative market.

    Have a great day!

  47. JS Lemay Says:

Why should I win this pack? My reasons won’t be very much different from everyone else whose trying to win this. Going into Grade 11 now and in Grade 10 I realized how useful a personal laptop could be. So this year instead of asking my friends or my dad, I’ve decided to get myself a personal laptop. With it I can work on my school work with a better computer then the ones we have in the library, and it’ll be more practical. That only that, I’ll bring the laptop with me during the summer when I’m traveling alone to keep in touch with my friends and family.

    JS

  48. Allan cox Says:

Im going through grade 12 and have a mac which was i worked all summer to buy and was told my school would be able to support it but when i went to try a project i made in science class it wouldn’t work. I later find out my school only supports pc programs and I’m really desperate to get pc programs such as the Microsoft program series so when i present and work on my projects it is compatible with my school software. Please Im really trying to get into university and I know this package will help reach my goals and make the whole experience run smoother!

    Thanks,
    Allan

  49. Amanda Says:

Wow what an awesome prize and very cool gadgets! Im just starting college and could really use some tools to help me get started on my way to school! Thanx so much for giving people the oppertunity to win useful supplies, especially at this time of need when everyone is going back to school! Awesome!

  50. Diane Thompson Says:

    Good morning Mike,
Last summer my daughter moved to Toronto with her boyfriend and started at George Brown College and did very well (3.96GPA). This summer he asked her to leave. We are now quickly setting her up in her own place. Last week we bought her her dream computer and this package would really help her start her new life out there.
Thanks and have a great day Diane

  51. Jennifer Garvin Says:

Good Morning, yet again more cool gadgets! Will it ever end, I hope not and I really don’t think it will. In the meantime before the next new cool gadget enters the market place I would like to put in my plea for this giveaway.
Heading back to ‘adult’ school I need an upgrade, my son (4) fried my computer by learning just how easy it is to turn it on and off and on and off, sorry motherboard….my daughter (2) decided to see if blueberries would look pretty smooshed on the keyboard…and my 8 month old son who loves to be at my feet all day, wraps himself in the mouse cord, not so safe, that cordless technology and a battery that lasts 6 months in a mouse-what a god send! Think of all those batteries I can put in toys instead! There’s my plea…higher education here I come!!!

  52. Brandon Germscheid Says:

    Hi…

I am just getting ready to go to SAIT (Architectural Technology) and am not very computer smart. I just realized that the program provides me with a laptop, but I have no case or other computer gadgets to go with this. It would be wonderful to win this prize pack to get me started in the right direction. It certainly would be used during my next few years at school.

    Hoping to win!

    …Brandon

  53. Linda M Says:

Dear Mike…..I would LOVE to win this prize pack as we have 3 students in our house and have NONE of these kind of gadgets. In fact the wireless keyboard would happily replace the old one we have had since ” the beginning of time”!! ha ha . I am starting a home business and going to school so this would help me as well as my two teenage kids. PLEASE pick me and all three of us would be winners. thanx :D ……Linda

  54. Jayne Fontaine Says:

I have a kid registering for grade 12 today! ANY help he could get would be WONDERFUL! In fact it would get him away from my PC and leave all my ‘lame older than dinosaur bones’ gadgets ALONE. THAT would make both our lives oh so much easier! THANKS and have a wonderful day!

  55. Melissa Kerr Says:

    Hi Mike,
I could really use the Microsoft Prize Pack!
I saved up for months for my own Macbook but have never had enough to buy office:mac.
I’m going into grade twelve this year and it would REALLY be helpful to have all the office programs on my mac.
When I hand in assignments, teachers always complain that its in the wrong format and they can’t open it (a lot of my teachers are kind of computer illiterate… :P ).
It would be a big help in my last year of high school to have easier programs for all my assignments and homework.
    Thanks!

  56. Granny Says:

I would love to win this case full of goodies for my 14 yr old granddaughter. Not only could she REALLY make good use of these items, but it would raise my ‘cool granny’ points over the top!

  57. Jane Ridd Says:

While noone in our household is on their way back to school this year, we could certainly make use of this prize pack. About 4 months ago our desktop computer died, and since I’m currently on a maternity leave, we replaced it with a laptop with no frills…no carrying case and we don’t yet have MS Office. It does have a web camera which is great so we can Skype with one set of grandparents but the other grandparents do not yet have a camera. This prize would be great for us!!

  58. Susie Yip Says:

I would love to win the prize pack not for me (because I am computer illiterate) but for my smart little niece. She is such a doll and I believe that she would enjoy this package for years and years to come. Then, she can teach me properly (ha haha)!!!

Your blog are very informative and I really love your segments when you are on BT television.

    You guys rock!!!

  59. elvira Says:

I should win the pack because I have two teens going back to school and they desperatly need it for school.
    plse pick me.thanks
    ELLY

  60. Sally Says:

I just purchased my first laptop about a month ago. The screen has one of those wide 15.6″ screens and I have been having a hard time finding a case that the laptop will fit in. The microsoft office software would also be great because when you buy a new laptop, the demo only lasts 60 days. Please consider me for the Prize Giveaway!!

  61. Brian Kitagawa Says:

    Hi Mike & Co.,

It’s been quite a struggle this summer looking for a job ever since I was laid off back in April because of the sagging economy. It has made me take a long, hard look at my career and I am now in the process of making some huge changes. Having this package would not only give me a couple of tools to use on this new journey, but also would make me feel a bit better as I have had to drastically cut my spending on gadgets and high tech toys.

    Thanks!

    Brian

  62. truman yee Says:

i think i should get the pack cause i just bought a $2300 alienware laptop and forgot about school.=(

  65. stephanie kemick Says:

i am just an old grandma looking to go back to school and have a lot to learn from this goodies

  66. Faith Bergman Says:

    Hi Mike,
I am a 60 + grandmother who needs your give-away package. I volunteered to act as secretary to the Parent Council at my grandson’s school last year but had to go through hoops to get my minutes sent out because I use a MAC. I spotted the Microsoft Office program in your package. This suite would allow me to send minutes directly to all recipients. The carry bag would also be a big help when attending meetings. I hope you consider me for your “back-to-school” contest.
    Thanks,
    Faith Bergman

  67. chris doyle Says:

I’m returning to school after 20 years ,and iv’e been layed off for 6 months so money is tight
my computer works fine but the cam and the mouse are on there way out.And that office
program would help in school, well thanks listening.

  69. Christina Schaplowsky Says:

    Mr Mike Yawney

How are you? Wow your going to have a tough time trying to decide who is more deserving than the next, Good luck!

Well to pleading my daughters case, Shelby is 14 and a wonderful girl, We just moved here from Rocky Mountain House. My daughter Shelby is just starting in a new school. Not a good time to move because this is her first year in High School and she has lost all her friends from Rmh, and has made no friends as of yet. She has been very nervous and scared to goto go to school, I think if she were to win something as fantastic as this, it would make her feel very happy, as little else has helped her ease her nerves.
Winning this would put a smile on her face that I have not seen in awhile!
Thank you for taking the time!
    Your new fans
    Christina

  70. PJ Salcedo Says:

WOW. would this ever be awesome for my wife. she’s currently on maternity leave and we are trying so hard to make ends meet. we’re doing this while she’s trying to take a distance learning course AND start up her dream business. it’s hard to keep up with the latest gadgets and both of us would love to have something to brag about and get some good use out of it.
anything that would help this mom of 2. she deserves it.

  71. Sheena Read Says:

I am in desperate need of the Microsoft Prize Pack.
My son is almost Amish. He’s 15, and is living without technology. It’s a wonder he has zippers on his jeans.
He has reached Grade 10 somehow without understanding the concept of pens. Each year, finals roll around, and he doesn’t have any notes or study materials. His books come back beaten, yet almost pristine inside. I haven’t had to purchase looseleaf for years.
He tells me this condition will be cured if he has a laptop for school, which many of his friends have turned to.
I want him to go to university someday, so I’ll have to give in to his needs.Otherwise, he’ll go find more of his kind, and since we don’t have any Amish communities around here that I know of, it will save him from joining a cult. Now isn’t that every mother’s nightmare? You can see my concern, and why I’m obviously the most in need of this prize pack.

  72. Sophia Calkhoven Says:

Hi! Let me just first say that this is an awesome prize pack, and thankyou so much for even the chance because my school starts tomorrow! *shudders*. I purchased my laptop 1 year ago, after saving for some of the payment, and earning the other half by a great piano achievement. Unfortunately, my PC programs are all very old, and I don’t use my computer very much because these installed programs are so old. My school and the program that I am in relies quite heavily on good computer access and the programs, so that we can create appropriate projects. I always feel that one of the biggest obstacles I need to overcome in studying, or writing a 10 page essay, is just getting around the constantly freezing computer, and slow response on programs like word. I would love to get rid of that obstacle. It frustrates me and my family who sometimes use my laptop, when I try to use a word document, or open a document from an email, and then that causes the computer to work really slowly because it doesn’t accept the newer programs like .docx, or even trying to insert a clip art picture. I think this would make my work a lot neater, and more professional looking.
Recently, one of my best friends moved to the USA and the webcam would be so wonderful so I can talk to her face to face. My grandma recently got one, and she loves talking to the rest of our family in Germany and Holland.
Thankyou so much, and have a great day! I really enjoy this segment on BC, even though I’m only 13.
    =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =)

  73. kendrick yee Says:

i think i should win cause im getting a laptop for jr high. i would enjoy a web cam for talking to friends. my old mousse just broke down and i could really use one cause im a gamer and i would like some more protection for my new laptop it would also help my chances of getting one so i dont have to worry about getting stuff for school.

  74. Tara Says:

I am a POOR (the government even considers me low-income, which they ) university student. I just had to replace my 6 year old laptop, which doesn’t turn on anymore, so that I can do schoolwork this year, and I have absolutely nothing for it.

  75. Sophia Calkhoven Says:

sorry! I meant to say, “I really enjoy this segment on BT, even though I’m only 13.” Sorry for any other typos! =)

  76. Harold Holoboff Says:

The reason why is that my daughter isa real computer geek, she enjoys creating short movies with her friends, and show them off. The other reason is thet her parents are stuck in the prehistoric time!! My daughter loves small things and she likes the mousie.

  77. Greg and Stacey Stewart Says:

Gregory: I love computers and exploring new gadgets. I hope one day to work with computers in a creative way as i have a strong interest in computer graphics and attend an art school.

Stacey: My 12 year old son has better computer skills then myself and i need to keep up with him. I have returned to work after being home raising my children and I have fallen behind in the world of technology.

BOTH: We would both enjoy exploring and learning about all the new goodies enclosed in the case for 2 different reasons but we would learn together!

Have a fabulous day! Greg and Stacey Stewart =)

  78. bhargavi bhatt Says:

  79. Silas Kaufman Says:

    Good Morning Mike Yawney,

Having just watched your piece on cool back to school gadgets I feel that my wife and are good candidates for your give away. My wife and I are expecting our first child. My wife will be off work and I’ll be going back to school as a substitute teacher. My wife wants to work from home and she requires many of the items in your prize pack, namely the Microsoft software. Anything we don’t use I can use to bribe good behavior out of my students.

    Thanks for your consideration.

  80. Corina Jeppesen Says:

I would love to win this prize to make going back to school that much easier. I am a mother of 1 1/2 year old twins and work 2 jobs as well as am returning back to school after only one month off. It would make this new school year that much better!!!

  81. Greg and Stacey Stewart Says:

My son and i both enjoy computers for different reasons. He attends an arts school and has a strong interest in computer graphics and I am computer challenged. I sure would love to keep up with my son and we would both enjoy the challenge of learning together ( as he will out do me) about all the gadgets enclosed in the laptop case.

Have a fabulous day! Greg and Stacey Stewart

  82. Jared Gordon Says:

Mike, that is one cool laptop bag full of goodies! Of course, I, like everyone else on the planet want to win this, but why should it be me? I am a university student, entering 2nd year, but that isn’t unique. I am also out of bed this morning watching TV, which is a bit unusual since this is a day off for me. (My peers don’t get out of bed in the morning until noon unless they REALLY have to). But what really sets me apart is that I am newly returned from BASIC training with the Canadian Forces, where (I swear), they tried to kill me. I did survive, and according to them, I am a better person because of it. Well, I don’t know about that, but I am a hard worker, a good student, a Calgarian graduate (2008) of Western Canada High, and I am actively promoting Calgary throughout Canada as a proud member of the Air Force. This goody bag would be the perfect salve to help comfort me from this extreme summer, give me the props to prove how my home town is so awesome, and I will love you forever. Thanks for considering me. Jared

  83. Jenifer Halvorson Says:

Why should I win…One of my four children is starting Junior high this year and claims that hust because he shares a room with his 6 yr. old brother doesn’t mean he should have to share everything. (As in the old family computer) So he has saved up for his own laptop doing the neighbors yard work this summer. However, that is all he can afford to get, so the software, camera, and case are for sure things that would come in really handy to him. Thanks for all the gadget tips Mike! Have a great day.

    Jenifer Halvorson

  84. Ami Takeuchi Says:

    Hi Mike,
I come from a long line of gadget lovers, so you are man after my own heart. As a new Mom, I don’t have a lot of extra money to put towards gadgets right now. This laptop prize pack would be a great way for me to get my fix, without the guilt! LOL!

  85. Dena Says:

I would love this pack to help keep my inlaws up to date on our new son – their grandson. They live in Colorado and are always asking for new pictures and updates.
    Dena

  86. Evangelina and Val Says:

My daughter and I are always thinking about Skyping to save money on long distance and a camera would allow us to do so. Microsoft programs on our laptop have expired and we’ve been saving up to purchase new programs to do homework and everything else. We sure could use this package to keep up with the world.

  87. Carol Darroch Says:

Like everyone else, I have a daughter in the house who needs a computer for school so anything free would certainly help my pocketbook!
    Cheers!
    Carol

  88. Olivia Howells Says:

I should win because I am going back to school. I live on my own and I just can’t afford to get a laptop or any of the other goodies but it would make my life so much easier. I guess I could make up a story about how pathetic I am and how you should choose me but in reality it would just be amazing to win this package.

  89. sarah ethier Says:

Why me? Because When iI saw theis fantastic giveaway/surpise pak I drooled. I need this! I am getting ready to go back to college with my papents old laptop, which does not have a word processor. 90. Rose Abbott Says:

I have two children, one going into high school and one in grade 8. My request is for my son going into grade 8. He has been diagnosed with Developmental Coordination Disorder and needs a computer and programs for school. With DCD he cannot print or cursive write like the other kids in his grade. This impacts almost every aspect of his school work. When he has to write it takes up to twice as long as the other kids. He needs the computer to type all his homework, study notes and projects. My son is a great kid that trys very hard and has made honor role all last year. With two kids needing the computer it would be a great help to have one free for my son to use with out a fight. Mike thanks for taking the time to look this over and consider us for the prize, it would help big time.

  91. James Coupe Says:

if i win this i mite be a popular kid at school this year.

  92. Brenden Anderson Says:

Hey Mike, I would love to win this bag of goodies because I really do need it. I know everyone here is saying the same thing, but I am currently going to University here in Calgary. I am in need of the proper software for my classes and my computer is getting pretty slow, but I am paying for tuition, housing, textbooks, a parking pass, food, and everything else by myself and my budget is strained enough as it is. By the way, my mom says hi. She watches you guys every morning and really enjoys the show.

    Thanks for the consideration,

    Brenden

  93. Dianne Hammel Says:

PLEASE, PLEASE, OH PRETTY PLEASE!! My daughters and I could use this prize pack! Our computer things are getting ready for the recycle depot ……we all could benefit from this….need some new tools!

    Thanks so much!

  94. Janice Auger Says:

I would put the computer to use for my eight year old son who needs some help in early reading …the computer i currently own does not support the programs he needs and we are all worried if he falls behind anymore.
Thanks for the opportunity to win this amazing prize pack

  95. Gerald Says:

Yes it is all about me this time. I’m a full time student working on a dinosaur desk top but am in the market for a lap top. The case and goodies would help I’m sure.

  96. Terry Newborn Says:

    Hi Mike

My request is for my daughter who has dyslexia. It has been recommended that she do her schoolwork on computer. As a single parent with a disability and being on AISH, money is extremely tight. We were able to get the funds to get a laptop, but like mentioned by others came “empty” as far as programs, this package would be an incredible benefit to our home.

Thank you for offering these types of packages. I know with the economy, everyone would welcome such a prize…. I don’t envy you having to make the choice.

    Terry Newborn

  97. Tom Devoe Says:

My youngest daughter and last child at home leaves for the great city Calgary to start at SAIT in a week. I can not think of a better way for her to start a new beginning in calgary with an awesome prize like this. Coming from a small town in alberta, Grande Cache, this would sure make her first steps in your city exciting.

    Tom Devoe

  98. Amir Z Says:

I have 3 kids ( 1 in school) and he’s fed up with using my old laptop. This is probably one of the first ones made so it is heavy slow and barely works. He has decided to leave it at home rather than embarassing himself at school. With 3 kids it is hard to leave the room without them fighting over the cpu so a new laptop would help ease the congestion and fighting.

    Thanks for considering us.

    Amir Z

  99. Riley G Says:

  100. Linda Gibson Says:

I am entering college again for the first time in over 30 years. It would be a godsend to have the lastest software and gagets to keep up with the class.
My computer is ancient and knowing what I need is sometimes over whelming!
So is going back to school for the first time in soo long.
What a pleasent way to enter the unknown then with such a wonderful prize pack to boost my confidence.
    Thanks Mike.

  101. bhargavi bhatt Says:

Laptop would mean a lot to my daughter, who could do her homework and lot of research work. She likes to learn a lot about science and math and could benefit by browsing through the educational websites.

  102. Michele Narfason Says:

I am not sure if you have given this away yet, but I thought I would try anyway…. I would love to give this to my husband as he is totally computer illiterate and needs to practice a whole lot . I could then forgive up my computer for him and my sons and I could use the new lab top! Also my computer is getting old along with my husband so I thought he would be a good match for the “old” computer! (Just kidding honey!)

  103. Bev Says:

Hi Mike, this prize pack would be an awesome pack to own. I am a single mom and as of yesterday an unemployeed single mom. My son is a great kid and can’t wait to get a job to help pay the bills. He is in Grade 9 and a Grade A student, for as long as I can remember he just wants a newer computer compatible to schools computers as the teachers and myself can’t read a word he writes. He would be stoked to win anything to help him with his schooling. This prize pack would do just that.

    Thanks

  104. lesa denroche Says:

Wow, I am not sure that I am more deserving then others to win this. I believe all people deserve to be spoiled every once and a while! I have 3 beautiful children who love technology. My son needs the computer more and more fo school and the one we have could be displayed at a museum or archived for future displays. As most others the funds are not there to purchase a new one our selves and we would be thrilled to be the one you picked.

  105. DAVID Says:

I NEED TO WIN THIS as my wife and i are poor and have not had a cpu for months now.

  106. Mike Pickett Says:

  107. Scott Eshpeter Says:

I am not entering this contest for me, it is for my girlfriend who had to move to thunderbay for school for a total of 3 years and I just bought her a new laptop for school, and any extra software and accessories would help her out with her school work so she can effectively and productively complete her intense course of dental hygene.
Thank you and appreciate everything if you choose us to benefit for this gift
